San Francisco-based Lynn Nguyen (26 and a visual designer) and Atlee Lyden (26 and a software engineer) returned home to Minnesota to wed in an elegant outdoor ceremony underneath a vine-covered gazebo.
After designing the table numbers, signage and bar menus herself, Lynn partnered with a graphic designer to create a garden-inspired invitation suite printed on pearl card stock for added shimmer. Post-ceremony, the newlyweds changed into customary Vietnamese wedding attire, or ?o d?i, to individually greet each guest. ?It?s tradition, and a time to personally thank each and every person that came,? Lynn says.
Gold spray paint covered wine bottles for easy, DIY centerpieces. In lieu of cake, Lynn?s uncle baked a homemade lemon cheesecake topped with a lemon glaze for dessert. Another indulgent hit: a sweet bubble tea bar, where guests could help themselves to flavored milk tea topped with tapioca pearls.
